Im ex C&W here too, and the symbol rate is also 6.952 here.. (not 6.887 as most tech docs say it should be for my area)

Have you tried the vox with just the main cable no splitter ?

still sounds like a cable problem somewhere to me.

thanks for all the replies. still not sorted the problem.
i've basically prooved everything is good and works correctly upto the point where the feed comes into the house.thought by calling virgin out any feed problems would be sorted.and because the virgin box works fine i have to presume the following...
-the virgin box hasn't got as tight an allowance as to what is a good signal or not. the eurovox isn't seeing the signals enough to call them channels, even though it sees most of them on a scan.
-virgin are doing something with the signal in that area
-or the signal is too big or too small. ie what was suggested earlier with the booster or attenuator.(the virgin man has put a 10db attenuator on his box)

as for the frequencies.. if you scan the wrong one then no transponder will be found.

Is that a question or a statement? If its a question...

If you scan the wrong one you will not get any tps. Try the other.

I had a similar problem on max v 2008 no signal or picture breaking up, virgin box was ok. So I changed all cables, connectors and splitter, so i decided to try another booster works perfect now (booster £8.79 at argos)

update

put catv booster off ebay inline and made no difference.
put 10db attenuator(only) in line and made no difference
back to basics, just splitter, and deep rescanned. found all channels. auto sorted then updated the codes
channels come on for a second then froze then went off.
i give up! it can only be the feed but the virgin box works. its beat me so looks like i'm paying for sports from now on.
