had the box a month.
software uploaded fine. connected using a splitter. c&w box fine eurovox fine fails due to crap cables. problem sorted and again working fine changed existing f connectors with official crimped connectors. working fine for 90 mins then "no signal". did the all the usual swapping etc.tright from wall to box and nothing works. c&g box still works. tried box at friends house and works fine. at mine i get every now and then a brief glimpse of sky sports but the "no signal" re flashed,re tuned, offset tuned,manual codes, all don't work when scanning get a lot of red quality sigals also checked the c&g box and even though the snr was green was getting a lot of variation of signal strength. i think the cable to the house is noisy and the eurovox won't take it. any other ideas or help would be greatly appreciated |

theres two frequencies;
6.887 - PURE NTL (am sure they took over C&W) 6.952 - Telewest. Be sure none of the threads are touching the core on the cables. |

ok, did a quick search (770 steps) using 6887 which is the website above required operating freq for my area.
channels came on briefly then turned noisey then failed. went to manual part and had 6.952 listed. ended up clearing data .setting boxto 6887 re flashing ,then re scanning. no transponder. went back to 6952 and re scanned. found all channels but still `no signal` gave up and called virgin out. reason: watching a channel quality and signal displays 80% for 75% of the time then bobs down into red area. |

Try sticking a cheapo TV signal amplifier (booster) on it (less than 10 quid from argos) .. It cured my crappy signal problems, my signal strength used to almost always sit on the red 8%, sporadically jumping upto 80 or 90% now and again, some time channels breaking up.. Since putting my old dusty bog standard Labgear amplifier inline I now have no signal issues, the strength is solid at 80%, never moves, and I havnt had channel problems since... I think rather than just boost the signal it sort of cleaned it up or stabilsed it, thus giving a better quality for my ex1000 to handle..
