i have a virgin 2110c sitting in the cupboard without a card, i took it to someone to get modded but he said could'nt be done without the original card as thats whats holds the box key. Is this right? or is there away round it? thanks

nope its a doorstop until they release a method of obtaining the bk without card , its a doorstop for now im afriad

will i be able to get freeview channels on? or will i be able to set it in someones house who has a full package with vm

You can use it as a freeview,

Providing it has the netid for your area or if you are in pure it will auto set.

Connect it to stream if it has your netid or youre in Pure then you will get all the freeview channels.

If youre in pure and the box is not then hold,

stby + left + right + ok as soon as you power up till you see ld05 then leave it on stream and it will sert the netid auto and give you freeview channels.

comes up ld 06 and starts to boot but gets stuck on ap52 for ages , should i just leave it?
