Default which cable

conflicting info here, when flashing fta 101 do you need a crossover cable or stright through cable?

'Tis conflicting, here's how I managed it. First I tried to update with a Null Modem cable as in Starview etc. It didn't work. Had a look around, had a read up and many folk say that you need the old fashioned straight through serial cable. So I looked on eBay and couldn't find one. But I did find a straight through serial cable extender. Bought one of these plus a male to female gender changer which then created a straight through serial cable with female connectors at both ends.

Connected up the trusty old FTA101 again with this lead and it worked first time. Total cost for the serial extender and gender changer was under a fiver.
