Hi,
Probably, yes. But some sort of official subscription may be required at some point to guarantee viewing. To start with, I would suggest a TM5400 or Clarke Tech 3100+ with a 1m motorised dish. Southernsatellite sells all the gear.

if u want sky u pay 4 sky. I think you can use the technomate with a cam to read a sky card. The only place you can get a valid sky card from is sky.

In answer to the previos question as you type faster than I do
You asked which service had the best range of English language channels. And I gave you the correct response to that question - Sky UK However there are no freebies with Sky UK via satellite - you need to subscribe to the service, and unless you want to do some severe tinkering you will need a SKy digibox.

The foreign providers are not really catering for English language viewers. Some of the channels (especially the Discovery type channels and movie channels) carry dual language audio tracks, but many, many of them only transmit in their home audience language. So if you are hoping for a huge range of entertainment channels with English language programming on foreign providers you are going to be sorely disappointed - it just doesnt happen.
