Dead Euro Max V

Hi guys

I have a bit of a problem, my MAX V box is stuck on standby (the red light is on) but also i have 2 little green lights on the display??????. Tried to install new firmware but my computer cant find the box.

Anyone got any ideas?????

try this m8
right stay with me on this one, the boxes are probably clones, flash with your last flash 21/04/08 I think, then plug in as normal, cable feed, power, but instead of using the scart, use an aerial( analogue ) the old fashioned way of connecting them to the television, you should use the channel search on your tele to find the box, once you have found the box go to the menu 1004 for the code, tv settings,

ON
PAL B/G
40
save and exit
now unplug aerial, reattach scart and hopefully you've sussed it, remember the aerial goes into the tv vcr socket not the one below your cable feed. cable feed should be in as well
go to factory default, powerscan, and hope all is well.
unfortunatley you'll have to wait for a new flash but at least your up and going and your box isn't bricked

the above should work but if it doesnt then open up ur box and hit the reset button shoulod work now or atleast display 0000 or 0001 then try the above method again
sumtimes a simple reflash will do it but uve said ur pc doesnt detect box restart pc and try again

let other users reply aswell with some methods i gotta get going now in a rush if after uve tried everything then u might need a jtag but i say "might" so try everything else first

Cheers for all the advice jimmy, but still no good. Cant get 0000 or anything else on the LCD display. Tried hitting reset button inside box still nowt. Any other ideas please?????

It could be one of the capictors thats blown,if it is it will be swallon on the top

tale out power to box leave off for a minute put plug back in

i tek it ur getting power to eurovox as ur standby light (red) is on but u get two lines on the front of lcd

have a read of this post (I would try the other way round first, ie remove lead then power up remove power and refit lead) whatever you do take care in doing it.

did u try to connect box back up to computer explain how u got into this situation what did u try to do for ur box to become like it is more info needed

also once uve taken the power supply out and then back in try the reset button again first when uve taken the plug out hold it down for 5seconds or so and then try the same again with power plug in its worth a try but give more info as to how ur box became like that

a jtag would fix it though thats good news lol
