are you using a laptop with adaptor?
If not try a factory reset then try and install the sw again. If it downloads and writes and you get the message download fail wait a min or 2 untill you get succesful message do not disconect on fail wait

those options are not available until you have the necessary firmware (old or new) on the box

I've got the same problem:

Just got the eurovox max v today. But when I tried loading the new firmware onto it I got dowloading is failed and 'Err' started flashing on the box. I've tried other earlier versions of the firmware for the eurovox max v, but every time it ends with the box flashing 'err'. When I click the download button, the download progress completes to 100% and then it starts writing, but once it gets about halfway accross the progress bar, the display on the eurovox box stops flashing, and when it gets to the end of the progress bar then the display on the eurovox starts flashing 'err'. Have left it waiting after the update comes up with 'download is failed', but it doesn't change to successfull.

Any ideas/ suggestions please?

Cheers
