Default Which Starview

A friend has asked me to flash his starview box but we are unsure which one it is, i assume it is the starview 1 as there is no version number on it just starview on it with a serial number underneath which is starviewJN7101063

cheers all

If it just says starview on it I would say it is 1, but is it a clone? to be safe I would flash the new fix cryptstar-v1.5-core257 using gtrom v4.00(clone safe),
If it is a starview 2 the Box it will have 'The Box' written on it.
Hope this helps and Merry Xmas.

cheers all
how to tell the type of box

starview 1 says "starview" on front of the box
starview 2 says "the box" on the front of the box
starview 3 says "the box super" on the front of the box
starview 4 says "the box super USB" on the front of the box

then there are the clone boxes which are different again
You will need to know if you have a clone or genuine

Count the vents on top

18x7 = Clone
25x7 = Genuine
13x7 = 1st Generation

Also looking from the front
Scart to the left = Clone
Scart to the right = Genuine

cheers
peter
