Im new to the whole idea of satellite TV, i grabbed myself a simple starters kit from Screwfix (heres the link Labgear Free-to-Air Satellite Kit - Screwfix.com, Where the Trade Buys) however im already having a few issues. If anyone can answer any of these please do.

When i went to attach the F connectors to the cable i realised that the cable seems too small for the connector, and when i follow the instructions provided for the kit it would be extremely loose and would fall out on its own. I also tried with some CT100 cable i had lying around but it was the same.
Another issue is when it comes to setting the dish up, i have noticed that with no dish connected the STB shows up with signal strength 50%.
And finally i want some help with setting the dish up properly, can anyone suggest a good but cheapish satellite finder and maybe a simple guide on how it would work.

If anyone can answer these with sites aswell please can you provide the links? theres just so many sites to read that its destroyed my brain trying to understand :S Thanks
