Eurovox EX5000 code update fail! info needed

Hi this is my 1st ever post as ive never really needed to ask about any problems ive had with the updates an eurovox, but this time i cant seem to find anybody else with the same problem i have so i've had to register fully an see if any of you guys can help me!

My problem is that my box was switched off yesterday 23/12/08, anyway i came home from work an got the new keys from chatterbox, i entered the keys as i usually do in this instance, anyway the correct keys have been entered but still my box wont come on, it still says 'searching for code please wait'. So i have searched everywhere on the internet to find a solution, but i have come up with nothing, only thing i can think of is that i need my box flashed.

If anybody can help me with this an tell me why the new codes wont work anymore, i would be really greatfull. or if someone could tell me how to fix it i would be even more.

I am having the exact same problem, my eurovox max v went off late on 23rd dec , i am on telewest/virgin i updated the codes using keymaster 1.2 but these didnt work , I havent had any problems updating manually in the past.
i have also tried leaving on sky sports for 5 mins but its still not working. any answers please.

Is it a clone box you have? Or genuine as there is a fix.

try a auto scan then go to sly sports guys

failingtht reflash with firmware apply cdf and go to sly sports if no joy wait on man u tv can somet imes update on man u tv
