scientific atlanta modem gone down?

New to flashing Cable Modem....???
Hi Guys, newbie here, i was wondering if you guys could possibly help me i have been reading through the forum about different posts,

but failed to come across any info about the flashed modem i have?

Anyway here we go i have a scientific atlanta modem, that has stopped working yesterday, the problem i have is the modem is activebut not connecting to the internet, just the power and pc light is on.

I am a complete newbie to this modem business, picked up the modem from a freind, anyway the modem was kicking out between 4 meg and 12 meg when it was working,


For the time being i have now gone back to the virgin subscription agin, down to 2 meg please help folks, any help would be great!!!

There could be a number of reasons why your modem has stopped connecting.
Mac address, tftp ip settings etc etc.

Read the sticky posts and in particular the Haynes cable modem guide to help yourself find out whats wrong.
