I meant to try this, too, but never got around to it in case I ruin the game CD. I would assume copying/extracting the wav or mp3 file from the CD will do the trick.

I thought about this as well. But to worried to do it. And like Vicki, I to play a game with a song I like to much. Its enough to hear it in my head when I am sleeping
But if I must have it I go to napster to download the song. |

It all depends on the game. Search for the file extension on the net - it might well be playable by a downloadable player (for example, .ogg files) or there might be a converter. If not, you'll have to scour the less salubrious ends of the internet to find it... Or learn to program and create a converter.

Not all game music is in a "music file" format, especially if you don't have additional players. A lot of games use their own proprietary format, so as to stop people stealing the music. Others use less common formats, like .ogg, which most people don't have players for.
