Default Dhcp force mac addresses

Just a quick question i have sniffed out a few mac addys but how do i know which ones are good to use?
Some them have bits missing for example

HFC IP shows 0.0.0.0

TFTP SERVER IP shows 0.0.0.0

CONFIG FILE NAME nothing shows up.

But others i do get numbers in the above sections and in the Config file name i get stuff ????

Only use addy's with a config filename as they're almost garunteed to be a workin MAC... if u use the oters it may mess things up a bit for you.

u need to scan in a different area(UBR) mate to use macs in your area other wise they will conflict with each other!

:S but you cant choose which area to scan for m8 , only certain macs conflict anyway.

Yea i know this i am trying to sort one out for a mate who lives in a different area but i am only getting macs with this config file
cmreg-ntlhm120-light.cm
so does that mean i will only be able to get 1mb with this mac . Do i just keep scanning and hopefully get a higher one?

if you force a config filename from your area u will get a higher one , if he lives in the same city it might be okay , but if he lives in a different area/city then you will have to sniff from his house/flat.

some areas have "config caching" in place, so forcing a config will have no effect.
