Cheers mate,

first I've got to put the bootloader on without bricking it
tut say's it's easy to brick using softjtag
wish me luck, I'm gonna try now

btw, does it matter which version of softjtag I use??

I'm gonna use the one I reckon is the latest.

I reckon, in a few mins, my next project will be "how to unbrick a 250" lol

Unlocker= Console should now be active. If it's not, re-run this application

Softjtag_301.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.

What happened?

so, you have got console unlocker working, and downgraded the boot loader, but its failing when connecting to tftp?

are you running tftp32 on your pc? do you have the haxorware file in the same folder?

I must have missed some text, the tftpd32 is not on

if I open it up, will it work? also the haxorware10.rc6_EDOCSIS file does not have .bin on the end even though it is a bin file, do I need to ad the .bin on the end?

cheers

you probably dont have file extensions enabled in windows

goto tools -> folder options -> view -> untick "hide extenstions for known filetypes"

yes, you need tftp32 running, as the modem requests the file from the tftp32 server (your pc) and the app sends it to the modem.

also, remmeber to use the "g" option, so you run haxorware from memory... no chance of bricking anything then.

once you get haxorware booting from memory, you can use the gui to flash the modem.
