bricked is when you have screwed up the bootloader.
unbrick = lift the tsop and reprogram with a willem programmer, then resolder to the board. |

so as long as the boot loader isn't f00ked, I'm alright to keep trying?
I remember reading something you wrote, about trying all the settings without actually flashing the box with the Haxorware (and so not f00king about with the bootloader), I'll read more into that. (I've never done a modem before but I'm interested to see if I can do it and also understand how and why it works but I probably won't lol) SO, I can only mess it up by wiping the bootloader? correct? (hows that done lol?)

2mb dump usually, or trying to restore the "p" option bootloader.
virgin/ambit rolled out a firmware that disables the bootloader options so you cant flash, theres a tool to allow console access to the modem, then you can flash the old bootloader back onto the modem using softjtag. however, softjtag is known to crash occasionally, people reboot modem etc and bootloader is toast. also, if you need to use the exploit, make sure you press p fast, if the original firmware boots, it will overwrite the bootloader again. |

yes they did.
you need max232 + console unlocker software, softjtag, the original non"fixed" bootloader and haxorware. |

Still waiting on the max232, got console unlocker and softjtag, is the original non"fixed" bootloader 2.1.6d_bootloader?? if so, I've got that too.
(Is Haxorware the best one to use?(and is it Haxorware 1.0rc1?) or is there a better one to use with the 250?)
