Will srarview work with Humax PVR?

Hi. I have reserved a humax Pvr in Argos, but as i am not up to speed with technical issues I am not sure if the PVR will work with the starview box. Not sure what model the box is but its not the Super, its the previous one I think. help much appreciated.

had both for 18mths or so and i have never worked out a way to record off s/v box,think you have to do it with a dvd recorder or video

The Humax PVR 9150/9200/9300 etc are Freeview+ recorders only & cannot record from external AV sources, unfortunately. Damn shame because other than that, they're excellent twin tuner PVRs.

I'm new to this, but I thought one of the benefits of Starview was that it's a PVR itself, recording to an external drive. Have I got the wrong end of the stick?

That's true of the latest Starview4 (Super USB) but the OP was referring to the older Starview (TheBox).

I had a good go too there strange as it took my folkes 2 days just to get it working with numerous phone calls telling them to wait for a free view update. They got it and it was s8ite but i held on to the boxSo in the end i gave them my old starview as they already had vm. bb.

Ahh... that would explain it.

Do you know if Starview 4 any good as a PVR? Easy to use?
