That advert is a bad idea if you ask me.. Like,
I was around familly friends the other day, I dont tell anybody I have a dodgey box, not even familly or friends.. That advert came on, and it prompted questions from quite a few people there like "wow, you can get it all without paying can ya" and "huh, wish I could find how to do it then" .. I just sort of said "huh, yea, I'd love to find out sometime too" .. I bet at least one of em maybe started googling later that evening.. So it appears to me that the stupid advert is possibly just letting more people whom never ever considered the possiblity to now know that it can actually be done.. Bit of a daft tactic that advert if you ask me.. |

I agree. I'm sure VM are aware of this too.
I am absolutely convinced that running these adverts is a part of the deal to bring back Sky channels. Sky don't like the fact their premium channels can be watched for free on another platform. And with all the people ****ed at VM over Indian call centers and STM on broadband, it seems more and more likely that these illegal channels will be explored to actually get what you pay for. |

A search will bring up the answer.
The long and short of it is that it's simply too costly for VM to introduce Nagra3. Won't happen because I think they'd also have to replace all legit boxes which is simply not feasible. Also, I think they realise that if these people get their boxes fooked, they will be off to Sky. That includes myself, and I hope they don't make me because from a political standpoint I absolutely HATE Rupert Murdoch. But that's something else completely ![]() I'd get one mate, I've had mine for 11 months now and it's the ebst thing I've ever done. Even with the lack of on-demand. If VM want us to pay for their services, they should give them as they advertise them (Traffic management on their broadband pushed me to do this...) If you're willing to take a gamble, it's worth it. I recommend getting it from lic-sat on this site, there are A LOT of dodgy boxes out there. |

How are your family and friends not going to know when they see a weird looking different box in your room, or do you say that its a freeview box(Im not implying that your faimily's dumb, just would like to know because my family comes to me when their boxes are down, and theres a lot of boxes!)
I do lol at the VM ad though. "Confidential hotline" Hello, yes, I sell these boxes and watch things illegally on these boxes and I dont know what to do(Dont worry its all confidential, they cant tell anyone )

The box is not on view, its well hidden, as is my own isolator/splitter.. Its remote controlled using a Powermid Infrared repeater widget.. But yea, the ex1000 does look just like a little freeview box, but I prefer it hidden, as it says Eurovox on the front of it, and I daren't run the risk of somebody letting a VM bloke in (just to check everything is ok) when Im not here..
Better safe than sorry.. |
