hi all, just updated a friends star 1 clone box, all went well done a scan and only got 160 odd channels, but the main probs is ss1, im getting sound but no picture with scrambled or bad channel on display , all others works fine, now i know the freq for ss1 and setanta have changed, but i unpluged his box, pluged my max v in checked ss1 freq on mine and is the same on his ive only got my head round max v so starview is new to me, why aint i getting a pic on ss1 and why doesnt the starveiw have the same 200+ channels as eurovox?

delete ss1 and do a manual scan on the right frequency it should come back ,had this problem before ,manually scanned other freqs. and got most of the channels back

cheers, ive tried that, edit channel, del, manual scan-put in freq it finds it again but still same prob sound but no picture? (i dont know if it was like it b4 i updated it) as hes had the box 2/3 years and its been off for ages as he got ****ed with putting codes in and did not know u could update fw like i say its the same freq as my max v so it should work, also tried factory reset, re flash, re scan,d allsorts to no joy, hes over the moon its auto updating agen and i got 8 stellas for it , but he will be back when he wants to see a footy match on ss1 lol(he says it dont matter but it will)

is the box running off a splitter, if so plug the box in before the splitter and try a rescan, when i had this problem took a few tries over a couple of days to get it back but got them all in the end. flyingtiger in another post says he had to reset 2/3 times to get his channels back (same ones your missing)
