Best Cable Box to Purchase

Very new to this forum (First Post), so please forgive me if I have posted this in the wrong section.

I'm Currently with Sky+ and I know that their picture/EPG is the best around, however I'm looking to Multi room with Virgin Media cable system.

So my question to you all is Which is the best Cable PVR box to go for, in terms of

1. Picture / Sounds quality
2. EPG guide.
3. Upgradeable
4. Reliability

Can I purchase a HD Cable box? make and model number

Where is the best place to purchase a geniune box from?

There isnt much HD available on cable at the moment, only BBC hd, and some films from the on demand service, there are a few linux type boxes available, the dreambox 800 hd i think you can get with a cable tuner, the SA V+ box that is virgins top standard issue is HD and has hard drive is very good, the eurovox and starview pvr boxes are SD, Lincsat on here does the eurovox,

Thank you for your reply, The Starview aka The box Super, Yes I saw that box at my aunties house on xmas day it was silver...god knows if it was genuine or clone!! Picture wasn't to good Well I didn't think that.

Went into the secret menu (menu 1570) to input new codes and the box stated to work.

are there any better box than this one.
