Hi all. Sorry to resurrect old threads, but has anyone had any success using VMC to scan for Clear QAM channels using VMC alone, and not a Cable- terrestrial fix
My Media centre will find the cable tuner, and offer services for my area, but picks up no channels nb it works fine using TT-mce tools but I want to use in conjunction with 2 analogue tuners. If Media centre works as intended, I will by a hard cam! |

The one time I tried a scan with my TT-1501 cabled up, it didn't pick up any channels through it (only the floppydtvs acting as DVB-T picked up anything). This wasn't a problem for me as I'm only using the 1501 to "trick" media centre into using the cable guide for the floppy's rather than the freeview one.
Again, from my own personal experience, the TT C-1501 is fine if you're using any DVB program but if you're using Media Centre you need to go for floppydtv (or firedtv) instead. I never managed to get the TT working right in Media Centre and certainly never got it picking up the CI add-on either. My two cents - get floppy's if you want to use Media Centre and save yourself an awful lot of hassle, stress and bother. Good luck.
