Im choosing a tv for my mum and i'm torn between the 2 above. wondering if anyone knows how these tvs perform. the lg 350 from currys and is 1080p, the sony is 300 from richer sounds but isnt 1080p. i dont know the refresh rate of the sony but the lg is only 50 hz. both are cheep for what they are.

Sony over LG. I don't deal with either but the Sony is generally more reliable and I would think have a better picture. Also being 32" full HD will not be any great advantage.

That LG is by far a superior TV.
LG and Sony both make their own panels and i'd have no issues buying an LG... i'm looking for a cheap place to buy the 42LG7000 from at the mo

my brother got the last 42" one one in the currys store where i live, they said it would be another 3 weeks before they got them back in and i cant see it on the web site now.he only payed £550 for it!!!

I tried to get that one too but was too late.
Since found 3 other "shops" who had it "in stock" for about 550 too until you try and order it and all of a sudden their web sites experience "technical errors" (after they've held your cash for 4 days) on that one particular TV.

So many charlatan web sites out there pulling this stunt to try and attract customers!
