Got a genuine eurovox max v 2008 receiver and done loads of firmware updates in the past on it, but now it won't take the latest firmware
All leads are ok plus I'm using a pc not laptop and have updated my other box with no problems so why won't my other box update?Any wise men out there? |

Hi, I Had a friends to flash and encountered the same problem. I hooked it to my tv and done a factory reset via the config, clear data in the menu, I then hooked it to my PC to flash it, (if you pull the power lead for a couple of seconds and replace it whilst the program shows system reset, its supposed to do just that) which I did, it flashed and is now working fine. I'm not saying it will work for you but hey it's worth a try. Good Luck Andy...

What makes you think that the latest firmware hasn't been loaded? If I am correct (someone will either confirm or correct me) even after flashing the box with the latest firware it will still show details of the previous firmware in the system menu on the eurovox. ie I have updated mine to the 30th Nov firmware however it still shows as 18th April firmware on the box but the codes automatically update.

It still has the old firmware and because I cannot put the latest one on it, the box is useless. I use to be able to update this box with no problems in the past but now it wont?

just an idea, try flashing it with an old version first, say like, the original firmware that it would have been supplied with.. Then try upgrading it from there.. Ya never know, worth a shot eh.
