1st post from newbie on ebay dreambox

What a great forum that I have been building on my knowledge.

Ok as a newbie to this I hope you guys can help me out.

Decided on a motorised dish set up which I will buy after I have purchased a dreambox. I have been looking on ebay at a 7020 which the guy claims is a genunie box and not a clone

Is this the case?

Dreambox 7020-S brand new in box on eBay, also Digital Receivers, Satellite Boxes Receivers, Satellite Cable Freeview, Consumer Electronics (end time 30-Dec-08 11:06:27 GMT)

Would love to know your thoughts on this, unless you think a clone is worth buying?

It maybe an original, you cant say. Satstore no longer sell the 7020, as there discontinued.

But it may be old stock.

The 500 clones seem to be ok, as long as you keep away from Gemini images.

I am debating on buying a 800 clone.

Its not an original, not at that price, Its a cheap Chinese clone mate

I believe some of the software that users put on the dreambox will feck up a clone box!

Predominately any image higher than Gemini 3.4 that comes from the Gemini team

The build quality on the cloneboxes can be a bit hit and miss also, dependent on where its come from
