Exclamation Virgin + hd box....

Hi all, im thinking of buying one of the above, can anyone tell me r they easy as normal boxes to chip and do a card????

Also, try and get one from around your area as the Net ID should be set. If it's not, you will have a job and a half desolder and reading the 512 chip if you can't solder. I got lucky on mine with the paired card but the Net ID was wrong .

Hmmm as i wont know history of box and also be getting someone else to chip it, , , is it not worth chanceing it?
Also guy wants £65 for box n card, is this a good price??

As said previously you have to make sure that the box comes with a paired card. That's the most difficult thing about these boxes.

I'd say that £65 is a good price, considering that you'd have to spend at least at least £45 on an unlooper and a programmer to read and program the card. And that doesn't count the stuff you'll need to change the netid on the box.

I think u misunderstand, the box aint flashed already!! That price is for a standard box and card.
Also will i be able to record programs with this being flashed??

also consider there is only 1 hd channel (BBC HD1) on vermin at the moment maybe
dicky will bring some more from sly but only time will tell.

v+ boxes are easy to mod if you know what your doing all you need is a phoenix programmer ,unlooper, chartmans 512 atmel reader/writer, soldering iron ,return path filter (for talkback)

theres loads of tuts around on them

and the answer to your other question is YES all v+ features will work once modded
