hello, the draw on my dvd recorder will not open @ all ..........so iv took it out & im going 2 take it 2 bits & have a propper look @ it , any1 know what could b up with it or, any tips , i think its something 2 do with the cogs getting stuck ..well thats what it sounds like ! ..... any info on them & i would be very greatfull thanks

If you can hear the cogs grinding, its probably nakkered.

if you cant hear them tho, you could of disabled the drive?

If the tray wont come out at all, then its probably just a little rubber drive belt come off a spindle, or the rubber drive belt has snapped..

If it sometimes comes out then it'll be a cog missing a teeth or two ..

yes iv looked @ it & it will open when i push the front of a flap/buton underneath the drawthat conects to a cog, ..i cant work out how thats making it open o.k then when i close it,it gets stuck till i press the flap/button in? ...the little rubber band is still on o.k just abit loose . i might post some pics .so u can see it abit better ..if i can ........ (plan b , im woundering if a can just put a new dvd burner in it/ like the 1's u put in pc .hhmmmmmmm, will get back on this matter ..thanks for replying guys!
