Hi I love my Eurovox but there does seem to be a bit of a problem with the recording side of things. What it is ,is when I press the record button it seems to take a good 30 seconds to start to record,it says recording is starting.Sometimes it doesnt start at all and I need to reboot the box then it will work.Is this normal for this type of box or is there something I can do???? Thankyou

30 seconds is a bit excessive, usually takes several seconds to start for me, pause live tv a couple of seconds. Did take a few attempts to get the recording to work for me but haven't had any problems so far and have used it a fair bit over the last week.
What hd are you using bluegashead? Last edited by gussoccer; 30-12-08 at 04:40 PM. |

I've got a PVR EX5000 and I think it's a clone. My problem is when I try to record it says 'Please wait recording is starting' for any =thing from 1 second to about 7 secs and then goes back to normal tv. I've tried pause, play and stop many times etc. I have had the box recordingbut it is temperamental to say the least. Anyone got any ideas???Cheers |

mine used to take the same time, it was really annoying, the hard drive goes into sleep mode and it takes time for it to wake up, what i used to do when i first turned the box on for the day was, watch a few seconds of a previous recording so the HDD kicks in. This seemed to do the trick, although i had to do this each day if i turned the standby on. You could always leave it off standby, but it will use more power. Just one of those things im afraid.

Try another HDD if you can. I had two faulty Western Digital ones that gave the same problem. Although I could not get one of them to record at all. I got supplier to change and at the third attempt he sent a Seagate. This works perfectly. I only knew it was the HDD and not the box because I tried them on my fathers box which was working perfectly, but had same problems as mine when I put in my HDD.
