Default Receive power level LOW - Low bandwidth

Hi all,

I am experiencing damn problems with my CH...S Irish connection since I came back fro holidays a week ago.

I have the 10MB/1MB from CH.... package (paid).
My modem is the Scientific Atlanta 2203 non patched.

Before leaving the connection really rocked, it was real 10MB.

Since I came back from hols, I could not get more than 1MB... Up & down.
The TV is working fine.

Here are the stats from the homepage.

Receive Power Level
Receive power : -22.0 dBmV
Transmit Power Level
Transit power : 50.5 dBmV

I could get up to -17 dBmV by removing all filters, splitters and spare cables; the bandwidth was not as better as before.

So what is the range of acceptable power level ? Can you tell me your values ? Or if you have any ideas to resolve this prob...

By the way if someone knows how to unlock all the other diagnostics page on this router.... You are welcome !

Thanks all for answering.

Downstream -15 to +15 (-10 to +10 prefered)

Upstream Less than 55dbmv (less than 50 prefered)

Signal to Noise Ratio: higher than 33 (higher than 35 preferred)

general guide line, ex c&w is alittle different, but similar.

but your signal is crap, call isp and get them to come fix it.

Thanks man for your fast reply ! I contacted my ISP, they will "check it" under 24H... Anyway I even tested with a SB5101E - Haxorwared, and it does not even detect the signal....
