ok right used toxic 7 saved the file, got the flash for my area, then i put the flash in the flash folder and then put the file i made with toxic7 in the ext.eeprom folder as it says to do, then i wrote the ext.eeprom to the card first followed by the flash.

as far as i know thats what the tuts tell you to do so i inserted it into the stb, and went to s'ysports and useally the writing is dull telling you that you have not payed for the channel but the writing in the menu turned white so then i pressed ok and all i get is a black screen.

now am i useing the right flash how do i know which one to get as i'm in surrey south east

Hi

If you have used the right flash for your area Excw Pure or TW and your exteep is correct then prob needs time to update can take upto 15/20 mins just wait for it to kick in.

Dont really know what area surrey is soz.

According to my list Surrey is Ex C&W if it is I would download the CW_CHAOS_FUN_FIX_271108.zip from the HEX-FUNCARDS-ETC folder in the downloads use this for the flash file. Create your image in toxic7 with your details and enter the correct keys Key0 and key1 use this for your exteep file leave the inteep file blank. Write the lot in one go if everything is OK you should have all the channels immediately because you put the correct keys in. If that goes OK repeat the exercise this time leave the keys as 000000000 etc to check if the card auto updates.

when you say enter the keys do you mean the keys you get off the bigmac toolbar??

Yes but they must be the current keys, unfortunately we are not able to post them on the forums so its up to you to obtain them. there is a keymaster program around that seems to work reasonably well.

have to thank you as now i have a picture , i used the keys from the toolbar and it was the pure keys put them into toxic 7 then wrote to card now working with the pure fun flash,

so how do i know if the keys are updating

The card wont update the next time they roll if youve wrote the current keys to the card!
Now that you know the correct keys and flash(ex provider) you just need to re-do the card without putting the keys in and leave the box on bbc1 for 10 mins while the keys update, then stick it on ssports 1 and all should be ok.

Yeah just repeat the process leave the keys all 00000000s but when you write the card make sure the inteep is left blank with nothing in it just have the same flash and your new exteep file and write to the card then leave and see if it updates the keys. Then you can experiment reading the card saving the exteep file use swapbinhex program to convert it to .bin file then read it in Nagra Edit and see where the data fits thats if you want to learn a bit more?
