Hi Macca, whilst a majority of people on here are more than willing to help you, it is a very good idea to read the faq, flashing & tutorial sticky threads in the forum and give it a try before posting for help.
To get you off on the right track, you will need the tcb.cc toolbar (remember google is always your friend). Download this as this is where you get your firmware (you want the most recent release for your model of Eurovox and you'll find it in the Files & Fixes tab). |

In the TCB/Chatterbox toolbar, select Files & Fixes/Eurovox Fixes/Eurovox Max V-Box/ and download the 5/12/2008 release. For more help read the Sticky "Ronsters Guide To Flashing Box For Newbies"

mate u need to down the tcb.cc tool bar and then you can get the file you need for your box under the eurovox v thn all u do is extract it n connect ur box up with null modem cable to ur pc and open the file and click download
make sure your box is not a clone before you install new firmware otherwise it will kill it |

Same here, I've got an EX5000 and a laptop without an RS232 port so bought a null modem to USB cable but even after installing the drivers I still can't get the laptop to recognise the stb.
Any advice anyone? |

Unfortunately, thats the way it is sometimes, lots of people have had the same problem especially if you have Vista OS,you could try changing the ports in device manager, you really need a desktop with a serial port for best results ...some talk on the subject here Cant get usb > serial convertor to work on vista or xp!!
