Default Mobile USB Broadband Signal Booster

Hi all,
Has anyone use a mobile broadband USB signal booster/antenna or has any experience with them. I am in an area that has a very poor signal and need the antenna/booster to be able to use the thing in the house. Any help or suggestions will be very welcome and appreciated.

Happy New Year to everyone.

Very best regards Wez

If its an external broadboand dongle widget (on the end of a usb cable) sometimes sticking it ontop of big biscuit tin lid can help..

Thanks all for your help, it is very much appreciated.

The one I have is the dongle, just like a pen drive, so there is no way I can get it to sit on a biscuit tin lid. It is a 3 one, but the signals for it come from the same mast as the Vodafone ones do.

I cannot continue using my dial up connection, it is driving me mad, my max download speed is just 3.3KB/s and it is just too slow for anything.

Thanks again for the suggestions and help.

Very best regards Wez

Get a USB extension lead, then you can put the thing in a window .. You need to see a blue light on it to be getting broadband speed, I bet you're only seeing Green ..

Many thanks for your very welcome reply nibblitz, why didn't I think of that one, it would even allow me to use the dongle out the window and maybe get a better reception.

I have been looking at some pole mounted antennas, most from Panorama, and might try one of those, but they have out of stock on everything that they sell, very strange.

Thanks again and your help is very much appreciated.
