this is starting to really do my head in, used the console unlocker says it unlocked fine after a few goes then the 2 little comps come up on the right hand side like the ethernet cable been disconnected and goes off like its connected again, i open up softjtag click connect using serial it says its connected then comes up a error unexpected some thing and time out error then goes off. Happens every time really starting to do my nut in any one got any ideas?

I would imagine you have all firewalls turned off any antvirius s/w stopped.
what version of soft jtag you using ? 3.01 is the one to use, 3.10 known to give probs

I had an error when I first used softjtag, I needed to install some `OCX` files for it to work,does it mention anything like this in the error message?

done it works a treat had my max lead the wrong way round
