Unhappy Help witha tv and xbox 360 pal 60 settings..

Hi, i have just bought some new games for my xbox 360 and it says i need to change my settings to pal 60hz so i've done that but now al the writing is blurred. i've had the tv about 9 months and it says its HD ready but i haven't set up my xbox 360 to use it with the hd(with the swich on the back isn't set to hd) can anyone help to sharpen the writing?

i hope this makes sense

Put it back to 50Hz and leave it there. 60Hz is the screen refresh rate for American tv systems..

Urrr, no, if a game is 60hz then it needs a TV that can support 60hz, there are some PAL games that are 60hz only.. Bad news for you if your TV can't handle 60hz properly.. But what I think may be the problem is you may be using the Composite connection on your cable, just the Yellow plug and the red and white one.. if you were connected via a proper RGB scart lead, or even via component (using the Green, Blue and Red plugs) then I dont think you would have problem with your 60hz games.. You just need to hook it up correctly ..

Fair enough - I have no interest in games systems and was making a guess that the tv wasnt multi standard

not true i also can't play games in pal-60 and i've tried the componant cable but i still have the pal settings (when set to 'tv' as 'hdtv' doesn't work) and still the pal-60 mode is there and won't work

any solutions for this?
