Default Linux box advice??

Hi
I have been reading up as best i can and from what i can gather the end is nigh (sooner or later) for the likes of eurovox etc, however it would seem that the Linux based boxes have a better chance of surviving,at least in the short term ! or am i mis-understanding?? What i would like to know is this, are there any linux based boxes within the ev, krypt, starviews etc. I'm not too confident at having a go with the image flashing etc and really need a numpty proof P-N-P approach. Also, are any of the boxes equiped with a F-connector as i have a eurivox with an adaptor and the damn thing keeps coming out (and falling apart ! I would feel happier if it screwed in.
Thanks in advance

The linux type box should be capable if a fix is ever out, the eurovox-starview type apparantly wont have enough memory, this is all just speculation and rumours at the moment if they will ever use N3.
