Ok then. I

'm really willing to learn. Not looking for some1 who will do it for me. I believe in simplicity. Why should I spent hours of my time browsing all that information. Looking through countless web pages, reading hundreds of pages to get just a tiny amout of information. Where there is some one over there. Who have relevant knowledge, necessary reading materials and expertize.

Only thing is willing to share it.

Because everybody started where you are and had to read, learn, search, try, fail and relearn untill they built up their knowledge why do you assume people will want to devote there time to you when you are not prepared to help yourself?

1st off do you have a serial port on your computer as this will determine what hardware you can use and do you plan on just doing cards for your own pleasure or will you be doing mates cards as well.

You see. That is what I'm talking about. You are assuming that every one is going to rob you from your knowledge? And screaming: Please help me! Help me! I have a problem to solve and like to learn something in a process. Why you are assuming I'm not prepered to help myself? Time is money m8, so I see there is no point wasting it on reading useless articles. And I believe it's easier and faster for you to anwser my few basic questions than me spending hours looking for it. Thats why I'm asking questions on forums. Thats why other people are asking questions as well. I can't understand your point. You don't want to help, so don't. It's your choice. But explain it to me, what makes you feel that I want to know about it?

@Gummpy: I do have a PC with rs323 and LPT as well. First of all I'll try to sort out myself.

Its because the questions that are asked have been answered a million times before, it is a new question for you because you have not been around the forums for any length of time to develped some knowledge. In most cases the answers are a simple search away. You also get a feel by the question wether or not someone has at least tried to find out. In some cases someone asks a question and the answer is only a couple of threads away in a similar post!!

Hi

What Tesla is saying is true, imagine this if people like him didnt read the threads then maybe your thread and therefore your questions wouldnt have been read and then there would be no answers.

Sometimes we spend ages reading and answering peoples just to help out and it can get a bit too much when others arnt prepared to search and read and educate themselves to a certain degree, sometimes people can help better if they know you have an understanding of what they are talking about etc rather than trying to talk people through bit by bit if you can see my drift.

You learn so much by reading other peoples similar probs, and I dont think they are useless articles its other peoples experiences and mistakes that have given us a lot of answers and I know time is money so dont know what most of us are doing on here everyday trying to help.

Educating yourself is good Im sure a lot of seasoned people on here still learn something new everyday.

This aint in anyway a pop at you or anybody else, its just my opinion. Dont take it the wrong way.

Regards

1. Can I use a DVB box from ntl on which contract have expired? I still have the old card with it.

Don't know what a DVB box is?

2. Will it be as simple to sort out as thing that Adrian_London's case? Just change dates?

No if the box has never been modded before there will be some work to do on the box.

3. I heard I'll need to interfere with the box by Cutting Talkback? (What does it do. I was trying to google that, but with no joy). I understand it's some way for the box to comunicate with the "provider"?

Correct a subbed box talks back to the CC from time to time obviously you do not want your modified box talking back do you!!!!

4. I also know, that I'll need programer, unlooper and blank funcard. Purpose of programer is obvious. Unlooper is more mysterious device for me.

You need two numbers to write a card for the box one is the IRD number the second is the boxkey number BK. If the card is the original CC card ie N*L or Virmin it will most likely be locked to prevent you reading it in a programmer because they don't want people reading their cards. An unlooper/glitcher is designed to interrupt the card and break it out of the loop it is in to allow you to then read the card in your programmer. In some cases it is very important that you are able to obtain the details off the card because it is impossible to obtain them any other way!!! So do not screw the card up by randomly using software that you are not sure what the effects will be, use Nagra Edit 4.1 and try a read only on the card as detailed in the Novice guide well worth a read for all newbies.

Don't get me wrong. I do read all those threads. It's really time consuming. Going throught all that information. I keep reading articles and forums since I've posted first time on this forum. I'm not kind of person, who start a post and just wait for someone do to all the dirty work. But some questions have to be asked. Like, is it possible to do? Can that be done? So I don't waste my and others time. I respect others people time and appreciate other users help.

And I understand that some people are annoyed by everyone asking for help and showing any effort themself.

Eg. That is why I've aske someone to explain briefly what to look for so I can find it and read it MYSELF.
