Smile cable modem

hi i have a chipped cable modem its a motorola sb510ie surfboard

i was wondering if u could tell me how i can change the mac address so i dont have to pay some one to do it i have tryed searching net but cant find out wat i need to know any help would be great thanks even a link or some thing thanks

bit hard to say without knowing what its FLASHED with not CHIPPED as its not, but i would try 192.168.100.1 or 192.168.100.1:1337

you need to tell us what its flashed with, ie haxoreware etc go on your browser and type in 192.168.100.1 and it should tell you.

Wouldnt he need a username and password before he can access the configuration page?

On the Infinite firmware you can see its Infinite on the user/pass loging pop up as its says "The server 192.168.100.1 at Infinite requires a username and password."

Not sure whether this is the same for SB Modems

nope not with all plus if he gets a login we will know what f/w it is and advise from there
