Default starview setup help!!

hi everyone, i have got my own starview box but my friend wants one for his new house but i dont think his got the VM cables going in to the house so is there still any way possible to set it up?? or is there any other boxes that will work?? thanks so much for any help at all

If he has the white box on the wall will be ok , been in my house 3 years and was there from previous owners .
