Default questions about eurovox etc.

hey guys, I've been programming cards and modding boxes that I've managed to obtain, generally for the fun of it. So far they have all been different pace boxes, 4000's, 4001's, 4010's, and hopefully soon a sammy 2110. Anyway, all these boxes have been used previously with ntl or v****n media so having been manufactured for those cable companies the programming etc. it pretty easy as long as feedback is cut.
Anyway, I have glanced a few places selling eurovox boxes and starview boxes?
Can someone give me a brief rundown on these boxes, can both brands receive the ntl signal? which is the best brand? what are the top models for each brand and which ones are the easiest to modify for a newb? Do they have paired cards? can you use funcards?
Thanks guys,
Rob

starview , eurovox , krypto , d box and the like all run on any cable provider , just put the right firmware on and away you go m8.

P.S Having a bit of bother myself you may be able to help with , got a pace box about 3 years with a funcard running it , went down end of november and lad who does it has moved away .

Purchased a funcard 4 and a cardreader , but now stuck read the info on it but still goosed .

Any chance you can point me in right direction m8???

first of all what pace box are you using?
also, is there any writing on the old funcard or on the pace box itself that might be the bk or ird numbers?

What has probably happened is that either (1) the expiry date on the card has come up and it needs to be updated, or (2) the net keys haven't rolled, I know my funcard went off in november and I had to re-write it with the new net keys.
