Default How far have things moved on?

I've just bought myself another 360 after all the xmas adverts - yes they worked MS shove a product in our face enough and we will just buy it!

Anyway i flashed my first 360 back when all you had to worry about was no havinga hitachi drive and i was wonder how things have progressed now.

I've read that all the drives can be flashed and that MS still dont really have much of a way of actually detecting you on live (if using stealth)

Sorry if this is a random post but trying to catch up on the scene can be hard

You can play backups and not get banned on Live but always make sure that they are stealth patched. The new iXtreme 1.5 hasn't been released for the Hitachi drives yet but there should be a release pretty soon.

things to do to not gt banned

  1. never update via net for anything
  2. games have updates on em & u get system updates via m$ site
  3. always use stealth games
  4. dont talk about hacked on live
  5. never show yer gamertag on hackin forums
  6. alays hid yer games u is playin via console settings as well
do this and you should be ok ,

the way some of us think they are getting banning info is when u update via live they could be taking a snap shot of yer config/firmware

Wow i see the Engrish language has come a long way! joke

Live bans where normally delayed anyway, don't remember ever reading anywhere that an update would automatically ban you. The only thing that was really kicking about before was checking the speed the disc was spinning at as a lot of firmware back then allowed you to increase the spin speed.

I don't plan on flashing my Elite just yet but i just wanted to see if anything had moved on other than plain piracy side ie: Homebrew or any media stuff but looks like its pretty much the same as it was when i left.
