Following the steps, nothing seems to be happening at the shell prompt when I type in the commands, and return. What should I be seeing thereafter? Has anybody else used this method for updating their Haxorware firmware? Any feedback is appreciated.

are you directly connected to the modem? is firewall etc disabled?

tftp32 should start sending the firmware to the modem.

Looking at TFTP32, it definitely appears as though I'm connected to the modem, and I've tried both disabling the firewall altogether and adding TFTP32 permission with the firewall still on. On returning the command in the shell prompt, I can't see any activity in either the shell prompt or TFTP32 window. Hmmm. Maybe I'll reboot the PC and modem, and then try again.

I can't figure out why the commands aren't initiating the firmware update. There's nothing obvious preventing the web shell from starting the process. Perhaps somebody else could test this and check if I'm missing anything in my steps.

I've just downloaded Putty, so I'll give the telnet method a try later. Thanks again for the help Bad_Ad84.

i updated fom the gui from rc3 to rc4 and everything is working fine so could i go further and update to rc6 do you think or would you leave it as it is
