Default Eurovox Max V firmware problems

Firstly, for all those that have successfully installed the new firmware to a Max V box - well done !!! My problem however appears rather unique.

Before I get my head bitten off - I have read through the forums and although this problem has been addressed, I cannot see any solution other than keep trying .... The history:

1. the box is approx 18 months old, genuine and I have previously installed a number of firmware updates.
2. The latest firmware (05/12/08) is downloaded to the box via UFL MaxV v2.1.
3. The download data depicts a 'successful' download. However, when the box is reconnected to the TV the scrambled channels continue to show 'please wait code being updated'
5. I have power scanned, deleted data, reset to factory settings, pulled out the power lead during system reset, installed previous versions of firmware (i.e. 05/11/08), reinstalled 05/12/08 at least 5 times but without any real success.

All I can say is that the full is menu is still available but the premium channels remain scrambled - only the freebie channels work.

Can somebody please help and offer some 'new' advice?
