please help, im going mad. just bought a brand new toshiba hd lcd tv. i have linked it up to my sky plus hd via a hdmi cable. and i get a slight noise when viewing the channels, its like a fan going off in the tv. but when i stop watching sky or press pause, it stops.its an annoying interference and i dont know what to do, please hlp.

Hi mate,
I would imagine that is the cooling fan in the Sly box. HD boxes do get very warm and the HDD also needs cooling, so the fan/fans need to work overtime to try and cool them down.

thanks for your reply. but its coming from the tv mate, it stops when i pause it or switch to analogue.

have you tried with a hdmi dvd player ? could be a faulty tv ?
