Default how to use a solderless led simm on a di4001nc

the tuts i have read tell you to take out the board and solder wire onto the board while it is out of the box , what i want to know do i have to remove the board when using a solderless led simm also do i have to disconnect any parts while attempting to read the ird and bk from the led simm. any help at all on this subject would be appreciated very much many thanks in advance

You dont need to solder anything mate, just remove the simm from the box & put your led-simm in. Reddiesel explains things here : Led Simm Tutorial
