Unhappy Eurovox EX1000 sl Help Needed!

Hi. Newbe here and this is my first post so please, be gentle... Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere - I've trawled the forums and cant seem to find it.

So far, I've bought Eurovox EX1000 sl, installed the latest firmware (1 Dec 2008) and scanned for channels using the symbol rate 6.668 for my area (stockport). The box scans, going through channel by channel for 770 steps. Some of these have a good green signal (80-90%), others have a poor red signal. This process seems to take about 30 minutes or so.

Now my problem starts. Once this scan finishes, the screen changes. There is a table box with headings "Ch Mum, Frequency, Symbol Rate and Modulator". At the bottom, there is another scan going on, giving a percentage fof quality. This goes on forever. I went out last night and left it running and it was still going this morning.

I'm at a loss. Can anyone out there please help me?

Thanks in advance.

Hi, the "other scan" is not a scan, the percentage is fluctuating giving the impression that it is scanning.

If you have no values in the CH NUM (these are the TPs) collumn you need to scan again, I believe the freq for stockport is 6.887, if this dosent work then try 6.952. If you do have values in the CH NUM collumn (will look like this 0001, 0002 etc) and in the FREQ collumns then your scan has worked. Simply exit the Fast Install menu and you are sorted!

Just thought I'd add that although when you scanned you got good green signal you need to get a count under TPs, which you should see in the middle of the screen when you scan. When I did my first scan I used the wrong freq, saw lots of green signal but no TPs. Its the TPs that carry the channels.
