Have a look in fta private for the satellite downloads. I put the files that work on Vista in there a while back.
Before installing the drivers, you need to delete previous drivers and you also need to install the drivers as administrator.

As many others same problem with skystar and vista. I can install the drivers from the technisat.com, but when restarting my pc everything just freezes. Bloody technisat... Not something you expect from a German company

Thnks

Did you delete the previous drivers first? Vista and Miroshaft in general grab a driver and wont let you overwrite it.

Yes I did delete them from Control Panel> System> Device Manager> Technisat

Should I delete the driver directly from the folder? (Which one?)

Cheers

You actually need to delete the files from system32 folder. First disable the Technisat card in device manager but dont delete it because windoze will immediately reinstall it with the wrong drivers again.

After the files have been deleted, you can uninstall the card in device manager and then windoze with ask where to find the files. Direct the system to where you saved the new files and you should be ok.

The drivers location for the card will be stored in the registry. You can then find and remove the offending version(s) of the driver(s).

Use find when using registry editor to find the right keys.

But as mentioned by jimdefruit, Windows likely copied the driver to the system32 folder, and its there you will need to remove it.

ok, up n running again, but still no luck with installing skystar. I did the following. I hope I did something wrong
Device Manager> Disable Device
Then goto C:/windows/system32/drivers/ and deleted the Skynet.sys
Then Device Manager> Delete device
Then When vista asked to install the device, I "direct" it to the unziped folder i ve downloaded from here.
Then restart...
And again the bloody system freezes (to death)

Please tell me I did something wrong, so can get it right next time
