Thumbs up help please require working image

hello guys

could anyone help me out please....i'm looking for a working image

reason being i can't ftp to my dbox2 it may have a faulty nic as i'm getting dropped packets and when i ping the boxes ip 1 out 4 pings reply back that they have been succesfull

so being unable to ftp i tried the null modem method with hyperterminal and this worked but i still can't ftp to the box to update the roms

guys i've done all the usual ip address settings and i still can't connect to this

i've tried 2 different pc's and a laptop all done using a crossover cable which worked ok (crossover cable) on my m8's dbox2 only last week so i don't think its the cable

what i'm thinking now as its my last chance at this is that i could use the hyperterminal method and a working image (this takes about an hour to do) and hopefully that will get the box back working again

i tried to download the working image from bigmaqs toolbar but the rar file is corrupt

any help appreciated

guys are network cards for dbox2's hard to come by

can you buy the card itself anywhere or would you need to buy a broken dbox2 and salvage one

thanks

hello paul m8

i did a dbox2 the other week for my m8 and setup the communication settings ok (ip address ,gateway etc and this worked fine

now my own box will not let me connect to it by ftp

i have doubled checked ip address gateway subnet mask and they are set up ok

but the problem is when i try even pinging this boxes ip address i get 1 ping thats connected ok then 3 that come back with errors

on the pc side of things i tried 2 pc's and one laptop and this is happening on them all

at the end of a ping session it comes back with 75 percent packet loss or 50 percent packet loss

i think the network card in the dbox2 has gone

i then tried the serial method but loaded on an old image which did not have updated roms so i've still only got fta

after loading on the old image via serial method i still cant ftp to the box (i setup ip address setting again)

so the only way i can think off to get my box working is to use the serial method with a working image

cheers bud

gary
