Can anybody point me in the direction of an idiots guide to programing a funcard for use with a pace4000, This box stoped working a year or so ago and needs new software on the card, I have an infinity usb reader/writer & software, I have the original card with boxkey, when I read the card it opens & shows three files int, ext & flash, Do I simply replace the flash rom with a hex file from the 6in1 24-08-08 folder from the web, If yes wich one for widnes ?. Or is there more to it than I think, Please help any advice apreciated.

u nearly there m8, first find out which area u r ie Pure, Telewe*t EXCW, then in the downloads section find the latest funfix which will be dated on november 08 then just write the that file as te flash file in ur card and u will be up and runnin in no time.

hi
i have an old NTL Pace box and the card needs re flashing. I have the orginal NTL viewing card [which has never been flashed] and also an ATMEGA Cared which was flashed approx 1 year ago. can anyone advise me who, or where to go to obtain a new card or for my existing card to be re flashed

u dont need flashin, u need to write the card withe the latest fixes but to do that u need programmer. Above all u need to get hold of the novice angel guide and read and read, when u think u understood it then READ MORE.

I have found hex and installed it but now I get the message that my card may not be inserted properly, It is in correctly so do you think I may have fluffed it? I can get free channels but subs come up with the same message. They are all in tv guide but just cant see them. Would this message appear if i had cocked up the flashing ? If yes how do I go about making a new card I have the bk writen down. I have tried rewriting int & ext from back up.
