Hi Every body
I am new to this and I have been reading a lot about the above and similar CAMS on this forum.The problem is I am still unsure what these do and whether they are good value.
I would appreciate any input that will help me understand what these are.

A CAM is a Conditional Access Module that fits into the CI slot of a satellite receiver, but try to ignore the technical aspects for the moment.
The Diablo Cam 2.3, when loaded with the latest Underworld file, can currently open the following main packages:
DigitAlb 16E
Canal Digital 1W
Digi TV 1W.
We will need a lot more information from you before anyone can offer much more advice.
What satellite receiver do you have?
What size dish, and set up, do you have, fixed or motorized dish, and what satellites can you receive?
What is your general location, e.g. South East England?

Thanks for the quick response.
1.Live in Leicestershire.
2.satellite receiver is Humax FOXSAT-HDR
3.Dish is fixed but will be motorized very soon Moteck sg2100a.
4.Dish is 60 cm double lnb
It is sited where when motorized it will have a full uninterrupted arc.

You will probably need a bigger dish, 80cm or 1M, for DigitAlb and some of the weaker channels on Canal Digital.

But can I use the LNB unit that is there at present if I increase the dish size

Yes, but on a motorized dish a double LNB isn't of much use, as it wont always hit two satellites.

Sorry for being a pain,but I am trying to get as much knowledge on these as I can.

yes, particularly those on Thor (1w), but not on the DigitalB package.

I currently use a Diablo for watching the odd Premier League match on Sunday in HD, though you're not guarenteed UK commentary ;-)
