Default box in shutdown after powercut

Hi i`m a new menber as of today with a question on how to recover my eurovox from a shutdown situation, we had a powercut during the night and unfortunatly the box was still switched on when the power returned, point being the box is now in shutdown mode (red light and time displayed when in standby) and (2563 displayed and no green light) when turned on, the box does not respond to the remote and nothing is visable on the tv,I`m guessing the data needs to be cleared and the software reinstalled, problem being how to do this if the box wont respond to the remote. PS the box is EV max blue non clone.

Hi, when did you buy this receiver? The genuine Eurovox Max Blue was discontinued in February 2007.

The error code suggests that you may have a clone. Disconnect the power cable from the receiver & take off the chassis lid by unscrewing the +screws. Then take a look at the mainboard & power supplies. If you have red colour glue where the screws are, then it will be a clone.

Regards
