I know by having talkback on they can blacklist the mac but can they actually trace it to your house number and exact where you live , what is the chance of this happening ?

You get enough free as it is so do you really need to push your luck any further just for a few extra films or whatever?

Yes you will get traced. Box will get blacklisted, bill will be sent to the previous owner who will then pass on your details to vermin. No way around getting caught if you want to leave talkback on.

wow, dannyt. Calm down he was only asking if they could trace it back to the house number. He never said if he had it cut all not. He only asked a question :\

Sorry guys didn't mean to stress like that not having a good day bad family problems.

Its just I have read quite a few threads where you keep asking about keeping talkback connected and viewing on-demand, and many people have warned you to keep it cut.
Just want to itterate the point that its not a good idea at all to leave talkback connected as the box will definately flag up on the system and who knows where they will take it from there.

Its just easier to accept the freebies you already get.

Yes i understand fully about stressing cutting tb. But he basically just asked if they could track it back to your actual address.

When I was working for them I asked all the questions I could think of,

and regarding that, it's a maybe, as all the time they went out for a illegal disconnection they were informed by a neighbor or a jealous friend.

They did mention that when tb is disconnected or a filter used they weren't able to trace it.

In my area, I didn't see any special tracer,tracker or anything likewise.

So all I would be worried about is disconnecting tb and enjoying the rest.

Hope this gives you some understanding.

It is possible to trace back to a house but I doubt they will want to spend the time and resources doing it. Works out costly in man hours for them.
