I have a Eurovox EX5000 and it works fine apart from the following:

When the box is left on or on standby for more than 24 hours without it being touched when it comes to switching it back on again it powers on as it normally would but the screen goes black before the picture come up and the TV see's it as the NO SIGNAL on the scart. The box then crashes. If I then switch the box off and back on at the socket it will work fine.

I have tried to load different versions of the firmware versions on to the box and it seems to make no difference.

Has anyone experienced this issue before on this or any other box? The box is only a few months old and this has been happening since I got it. Does anyone know if this has anything to do with the box having the HDD in it?

I have now taken to installing a remote plug scoket so I dont have to keep digging about at the back of the box to keep switching it off and on. This is just an annoying fault.

have you tried it with out the hard drive in bro

could be somin on the mobo aswell shopuld have sent this bk day 1 tbh

EX5000 is well buggy.

I've just experienced the same thing on my pvr. Fortunately I had got two of them, one for my father. I swopped over the HDD and the problem disappeared. Both boxes work fine with one HDD and not with other. Suggest you change HDD.
